I visisted my husband last january and I'm still waiting for the process. You wont have problems, the officer asked me lots of question but let me go in. Be confident,it works! My husband also wrote me a letter saying I was just visiting and not staying.

CR-1 Visa is way better than K-3. You wont have to pay thousand of dollars to adjust your wifes status. When she gets in the USA she will have the green card and the social security card already. You will save lots of money. I would call NVC again and would ask more informations.

Congratulations!!! Thanks for share your experience!

Actually I did not, but everybody can email them the DS-3032, right? Wow 3 weeks, too much. I see people with the same timeline than me they get the invoice number in 3,5, 10 days. This is frustating!
Hope they dont take too much for me and for you! luck!

Hey guys! This process is driving me crazy!!! NVC gave my number case on march, 28th. In the same day I emailed them the DS-3032. Yesterday they emailed me back saying:
Dear Sir/Madam:
Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).
We updated the mailing/email address for this case. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change of mailing/email address, or change in personal situation that may affect the principal applicant's entitlement to a visa.
We are unable to add agent information to the case record at this time. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change in the petitioner's or principal applicant's address.
This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, beneficiary and/or attorney of record will receive an Instruction Package regarding further processing of the petition.
If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.
I am reading the topics here and they say NVC takes 7-10 days to generate Invoice Identification Number. So Should I wait till next week and email them again? I appreciate your help guys! thanks!

Thanks a lot to write me back! It's too late now, he leaves in march. 15th and starts to join the national guard right after that. I'm not sure if we are gonna have any priority as we are waiting for as much as everybody here! But thats ok as long as they approve it!

Hello everyone! Please I have some doubts and would like some help, please!
I'm brazilian and my husband (US Citizen - works for US Army) filled the I-130 to me in october, 2010. California Service Center got it in october 27th. Now we are waiting for the NOA2 and the interview. My plans were move out to the USA in july next but I've checked the timelime here and maybe I'm not gonna be able to go to the USA in july because of the interview's date. Can I move out and wait for the visa over there? And if yes, can I get a work permit while we are waiting for? And plus he is getting out of Army in March and joining the national guard (reserve), which means no money (actually they will pay him 300 boucks to show up there one weekend per month) and real job for a while! Do you think this can make our process hardest?
I would appreciate if someone helps me! This time is killing me, I can't wait to be with my husband!
Thanks!!!

I don't know your situation but If I were you I would apply for CR-1 after you get married. It takes longer but at least when your fiancee gets to the USA she will have her green card already and she can work and etc. If you apply for K-1 it really can be faster but she will take a little long to start working because she will have to adjust her status. I'm applying for CR-1, I am waiting 6 months. My case is at the NVC right now and soon I will have my interview date.
