  1. Congratulations on your engagement! If you came to the US legally and exited before your visa expired, then I would not expect the birth of your son in the US to be a problem. I would advise you, however, to check the regional forums and seek specific advice from members with beneficiaries from the Phillipines since they could give you more consulate-specific information. Best wishes! (F)

    Thanks so much! :)

Did you overstay your visa? If yes, how long? and how long ago was it?

    Good luck

Thanks! :) But nope, I didn't overstay my visa.

  2. What was your legally status 9 years ago when you gave birth to your son, and did you accept an means benefits towards your son's birth. If the answer to these questions are that you were legally in the states, and you did not accept any means benefits toward the birth of your son, then you should have minimum problems with the questions surrounding your son being born in the US.

I was in the US on my tourist visa. I didn't and never had plans to overstay since I never really had intentions to live there at all at the time. Anyway, thanks for your reply! :)

I really hope they don't give me a hard time about this...that was such a long time ago!

  3. My fiance and I are just about to file a K-1 visa, and I'm really excited about this because the distance is driving us crazy and we both want to start our lives together without ever having to be apart. I'm the nonUS citizen but I have a son who is a US citizen. I gave birth to him 9 years ago in the states.

Will this be a problem for me when they interview me? Will they ask about things beyond our relationship?
