Turkish filers concerned about Turkish-Kurdish conflict

I know how it sounds as people are dying right now that my biggest concern is how Turkey's invasion into Syria could affect my fiance's visa. Nevertheless, I hate the timing of Erdogan's invasion. My fiance's interview in Ankara is next week and we're stressed enough as it is. I know in many cases that one foreign policy doesn't necessarily have to do with another. And I've seen other policy decisions both Turkish and U.S. administrations that I thought would affect my fiance's visa journey, but didn't end up doing so.

I just thought I'd open a discussion about it anyway. Maybe some of you have lived or have fiances live in areas affected by wars and you were concerned how it would affect you personally. And I really don't mean to get into a whole discussion about the whole geo-political situations. I have my own opinions about all of that stuff and even what's happening in Syria now, but the purpose of this thread was to discuss how people have been or could be affected by change in foreign policies in the middle of their visa applications.

It seems unlikely that even with Turkey suddenly invading Syria, that our entire relationship with the country would change to dramatically as to affect visa applications. Our relationship with Turkey, however, has been increasingly strained and you never know when a change of events is the last straw on the camel's back. I don't think this invasion is quite that, and Erdogan might even pull back his forces after a few days of skirmishes. Hopefully cooler heads can prevail in this conflict, and personally I'm just getting so anxious get to my fiance to the US safe and sound.

Vaccination Requirement and their costs
3:54 pm October 7, 2019

According to USCIC website, the following vaccinations are required

  • Mumps
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Polio
  • Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
  • Pertussis
  • Haemophilus influenzae type B
  • Hepatitis B
  • Any other vaccine-preventable diseases recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices

And according to the website of the medical examiner where my fiance has her medical appointment, they have stated that each shot ranges from 25 to 200 dollars!

My fiance doesn't have any vaccination records that she knows of and it's too late to get her vaccinations from just a regular clinic cause her appointment is in a couple of weeks.

I have to imagine she's had her polio shot. And she has another scar from another vaccination, but I can't remember which one it was.

Anyway, I'm trying to prepare for the costs of these vaccinations and it's totally unclear what I'm looking at paying in total. Assume she had to even get all of them, any idea how much that costs? It's a little strange because the doctors offices for these medical exams, while sanctioned/certified by the U.S., seems like they could charge whatever they wanted.

I-134 How much bank account info is really necessary?
9:19 pm September 27, 2019

I'm sure this has been addressed a hundred times, so my apologies. I couldn't find quite what I was looking for about it.

The USCIS website states in its help section about the I-134 to submit, "

  • A signed statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institution that states when you opened an account, the total amount deposited for the past year, and the present balance of such account"

Is this really necessary? I could do a combination of these things, but to do it all as one thing is going to seriously delay when I can get this done.

I could do a bank statements for the last few months perhaps. They're just these long lists of my account balances and deposits and spending.

I tried to do an overview look of all my deposits and wages, but the thing the bank printed for me looked so unofficial it could've easily been a fake.

Is there a bare minimum for money in the bank that is anything less than what the USCIS website states? I already have tons of documentation of my wages, but the information on my entire bank account can be summoned in a number of ways, but a single document showing everything in the past year, stating when I opened the account, the total deposit per year and the present balance? Isn't that excessive?

How many NOA's should I receive after filing

Hello, I know this is probably answered somewhere in VJ but I've looked and looked and can't find it. We sent the application for AOS and work permit and the biometrics. We got two text messages and when I checked the case status online for those it shows "we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization" and "we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status". I am just worried because there were 3 applications and only two texts. IS the one for the fingerprint fee the same as the I485? Or does it look like they rejected it since I didn't get a separate message for that one?
