Hi everyone,

Our I-130 was sent to the Potomac Service Center. Does anyone know how long the Potomac Center is taking right now? Our receipt date is July 7th 2022. I've checked the USCIS Processing Times https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ but I think that it is not completely accurate. So, I thought maybe it is more helpful to see how the folks who filed before us are doing?

Your feedbacks and thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

So i have a couple questions i know are silly but, i been feeling really depressed about the situations going on.

A) Uscis has been trying to improve their backlog and i am a 2022/June applicant. just seen that the time started to go up again on uscis site ( was 12 when we decided to apply and today it went up from 13 to 13.5 yes its little but a lot for people waiting.) s it actually possible that they will succeed with their goal before we wait 14 months :( ?

B) So i live in Turkey and the only way for me to go to the states ( i read that its possible for K1 applicants to go but its really hard to get a visa) is to apply to a tourist visa, but in the tourist visa they want to make sure you are going to return to your country, i have a job here and i am still studying.. s it even possible to get a tourist visa while waiting for a k1? missed my fiancee and he was sick recently so i would love some help and insight on this topic :) Thanks a lot and i hope these hard t mes w ll pass for everyone :))

my income was not enough in 2021 to be a main sponsor but now i have a new job and i can easily sponsor my wife.

i have a new job since april 2022 with paystubs and a letter of employment showing my annual salary is $42000 . will these work without a joint sponsor ?

I am the main sponsor for my wife.

My father is the joint sponsor for my wife.

We will use cash assets from my fathers checking account because both of us showed low income.

My fathers (joint sponsors) 2021 total income was $12297. Himself + has 1 dependent + my wife = 3 household members, poverty guide $28787.

Quick math the difference is $16490.

My fathers 12 month checking account balance average between march 2021 - february 2022 is $53000.

NOW uscis.gov says

Quote

Sponsors of spouses and children of U.S. citizens must only prove assets valued at three times the difference between the poverty guidelines and actual household income.

  1. Does this work for both main sponsor and/or joint sponsor assets ?
  2. From which point do they take the 12 month average is it the signed date on the i864 form (12 months before march 2022) or is it the date they check files (12 months before july 2022) ?
  3. My father got a $95000 small business economic injury disaster loan from the government during the pandemic which makes a big portion of the cash. In the bank statement description area It just shows as ''SBAD TREAS 310 MISC PAY''. Will they understand that and ask about it or deny it since its a loan or will they not even look at that ?

Hello everyone. I had my CR-1 interview on 1st of June 2022 at the US embassy in Ankara. Everything went well, but at the end of the interview the VO told me that because of my previous F1 visa overstay they need to do an Administrative Processing. He kept my passport and told me that in my case there is a good chance that I will be getting an approval soon. My question is; how long this AP would take? and I was actually nervous before the interview thinking what if I have an entry bar because of my previous f-1 overstay which was +3 years. Does this mean there is no bar, but my case only need further Administrative Processing? or there still is a possibility that they can issue an entry bar after the AP? Very confused
