    Did you log into the USCIS portal and check the "Documents" section under your I-765 application? I believe once approved they upload a document there confirming it. A card then gets mailed out a week later.

    I've seen a few timelines on VJ showing people get their EAD approved relatively quickly after biometrics appointment, as in within a few days. Unfortunately for us it has been over a week now and no EAD approval so am guessing that the average time to process and approve is still long.

    Submitted AOS package 7/3/23 NOA 7/11/23 Biometrics appointment 8/2/23 I've been looking at some other timelines from people who submitted AOS in 2023 and those who receive biometrics appointment this quickly tend to get Greencard approved quickly as well (1-2 months after biometrics appt). EAD has also been approved 1 day after biometrics?! AP seems to not be approved because they just approve greencard first which rules out the need for AP. This sounds so much quicker than what people were seeing last year so I'm unsure how optimistic we should be.

    They will offer you the first available day/time available (via sending you an email, where you login to select date/time), which you should accept, though they likely have later ones available. You don't need packet 3 to request the police clearance or marriage search result , both of which you need for the interview so take care of these in advance.

    They were slow and it took 2 weeks to receive packet 3 in mail after the embassy received it from NVC. They do not send an email to you. You'll need to mail back the completed I-134 and DS-160 confirmation right away while scheduling the medical. They will not schedule the interview until medical checkup form is sent to them by the clinic as well.

    Maybe, maybe not! We got a folder to just organize everything into to bring for the interview. We'll bring it just in case.

    The country for me was Singapore but I could understand how physical mail might be more difficult in certain countries. To be honest I wish it was all done online and digital document uploads. So it likely depends on your embassy.

    We tracked the delivery using the DHL method and then waited a week before emailing the embassy to confirm receipt. They stated they mailed it out on XX day. Had we not inquired with them by email, we would have just received the physical letter. The welcome packet (packet 3) contains a bunch of paper including the instructions, checklist, a printed copy of I-134, and a printed copy of our I-129F.

    Not every embassy is the same. Your embassy should send you instructions on what to do as far as uploading anything or bringing support to the interview. We received the packet 3 (welcome letter instructions) via physical mail with a checklist and instructions on what to do.

    They did not request we submit tax transcripts when responding to the packet 3 checklist. I believe we only need them as support for the I-134 during the interview. I have not been able to file 2022 yet so I cannot provide it. I am providing my 2019/2020/2021 transcripts instead. You should probably provide the most recent years available that support the income listed on the I-134.

    We received our pack 3 welcome letter but they require us to mail the DS-160/I-134 so we had to physically mail these back before we presumably can schedule our interview. Another 1-2 week delay....

    If it took me 3 business days at a smaller more efficient embassy (Singapore) then I'd guess at least the same for others. So maybe you'll see status change by end of this week? They likely receive a lot of mail and have to sort it and log as received and pass it on to the appropriate team for processing.

    Did you use the DHL trick to see when the package may have been delivered? (check elsewhere in this thread for that). It took 3 days after it was delivered for my NVC status to change to "ready" so there is a bit of a delay. We have still not received any communication from the embassy either despite submitting DS-160 and paying fee.

    The NVC Case # will have numbers in it and from those numbers you can determine the date the case number was created. https://www.justia.com/dictionary/case-number/#:~:text=The National Visa Center (NVC,%2C CDJ for Ciudad Juarez). Check out the google doc/pdf linked in the very 1st post in this thread on page 1 and it will tell you how to figure out the date your case was created (page 13 of the pdf)
