  1. Would wanting a honeymoon abroad constitute an emergency? I mean...my mental health is in a state of emergency lol alright I'll check what's going on. how do you know that it's at the field office? is it just because they sent the RFE or does it say it somewhere?
  2. Has anyone received their travel permit? We got the EAD but not the travel permit and that one isn't even "in review" like the main packet. And another question - is there a place to check stats for how long these are taking now?
  3. So I saw someone said that some cases process within a couple of months and some take longer. Does it depend by location or what's the average? Or is it just all over the place and we might get a surprise in two months or in 5 or 9? I don't really trust any predictions anymore after the i129f process clusterf*** but maybe someone has read about whatever trends may be out there?
  4. We sent in our documents early December and did biometrics yesterday, and the EAD card status changed yesterday to card being produced! And for our main documents, it says now "actively being reviewed" as of yesterday. Anyone else have that too? I wonder what that means exactly. For the i129f, we got an email status response one time that said they're actively reviewing but it still took another 9 months after that to get the visa so I have little trust in this "active review".
  5. We shipped last Wednesday, arrived on Friday at the Chicago Lockbox, no notifications yet. We sent money orders so no way to know when they deposit the money I guess.
  6. I could be wrong too! That's just what I had seen on the forums but maybe not. Let us know if you try it. My husband is waiting to start reaching out to his contacts to look for work but he could get something within a month if he started talking to people and he's a director level so I'm sure they'd approve the expedite.
  7. Yeah I read about that last night. Damn it. So I guess we just have to wait for it to come back. I'm gonna do a check or maybe I can call the bank and do the same as you. Ridiculous that the bank flagged it, they should be on a list of approved "vendors" or whatever it's called. So frustrating.
  8. Damn my credit card blocked the payment of the fee cause they thought it was fraud. Do they try again or how does that work? Anyone have this problem? I now authorized it but it might not process.
  9. I thought you can expedite after you get fingerprints done, not before?
  10. We just got our transfer notice to the embassy. NOA2 was on June 6th, Bogota embassy.
  11. I think you need the invoice number as well to fill out the ds160. I have my case number because we requested an expedite and they replied back with the case number (expedite denied though). Maybe I missed something?
  12. you'll get the case number in the email that NVC sends you when they've shipped your case to the embassy. that's what you'll use to fill out all the documents. the rest I'm not so confident on, I think there's a lot of advice on this website about that form that's better informed than I am..sorry! I wish I could help but I'm not confident on that aspect at all.
  13. you're not going to get one most likely. from what I understand, we'll only get the email notification that our documents got shipped to the embassy and that's it.
  14. you can't complete it without the NVC case #. For 129f you just wait until they ship your docs to the embassy and at that point you fill it out and pay the fees.
  15. Yeah I joined that group too, I saw it. We sent an expedite request and they emailed back saying they've sent the request to the embassy so we'll see what happens. Maybe we can get things moving next week if we're lucky.
