K1 visa duration and filing for AOS after marriage?

I browsed through the guides here but could not get this information.

I am trying to find out what is the typical duration of the K1 visa or typically

what is stamped at the POE when arriving on K1 visa? is it like other routine

visitor visa - 6 months duration?

Basically I am trying to ascertain how much time I would have to marry

and file an AOS. Marriage needs to be prior to 90 day period is over; does

this mean that AOS has to be filed prior to 90 day period also?

K-1 is 90 days duration after entry, that is the period that you must marry in.

You should file the AOS within the 90 days also, but it is not a problem if you take a bit longer, some have to because they need to get vaccinations done, Vaccination supplement signed off by a civil surgeon, and perhaps wait for a marriage cert to be mailed to them.

A K1 visa is always valid for 6 months, and the holder always gets a 90-day stay in the USA - after which they need to have applied for adjustment of status to avoid accumulating time out of status.

On the other hand, a B2 visitors visa is typically (but not always) valid for 10 years and the holder often (but not always) gets a 6-month stay in the USA.
