I have read here on forum that some people get notified of approval via e-mail, or can check their case progress online (like i did with my first case number 2 years ago) while some cannot - why is that?

I saw my case number on the scanned cashed check form our bank (was cashed Oct 13) and i keep re-checking it everyday since then on https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp and as of today it doesnt show up :( , as well as 1st case that theoretically was set on October 1st 2006 with number WAC0700100001

Does your number show anything online?

Did it appear online after NOA1 (which i havent received)?

Thank you (F) !

As far as I know I-751 and N-400 status can't be checked online and the boneheads on the 800# can't you anything, since they just parrot what the Website shows for case status info. The only way to really find out anything for a I-751 or N-400 is through an INFOPASS appointment.

Now you can check the Service Center's processing dates to see if they have got to the month you filed to give a general idea where you stand. If the processing date goes past the month you filed and you haven't heard anything it's INFOPASS time.

I could not check online with the receipt number that I got from the misinformation line. However, I believe that is some sort of temporary number. When we finally got NOA 1, it had a different number, and the number off the NOA 1 is able to be tracked online.

Why are you so nervous? I know you are out of the country waiting, but why be nervous at this stage? Relax, I'm sure it will go fine for you. I had the same experience as Sherlock with the different numbers. I haven't even gone to check to see if it's online yet. I have no control over it, so why be nervous, eh? Chin up ;):)
