Okay, well.

-You can start with an exact or an as exact as you can get copy of your I-129 petition.

It's good to have that.

-Then make sure you have your NOA1.

-Also make sure you have your NOA2.

-I doubt you'd need the letter from NVC, but you can bring it if you want to have all the paperwork for this.

-Then have one or 2 exact copies of all the paperwork you had to fill out for packet 3.

Which was:

DS-160, DS-156 x2, DS-156K, DS-230 Part One, Confirmation reciept from DS-160 + the checklist if you made a copy.

-Make sure you have the Affidavit of Support from your fiance + any supporting evidence. I think the evidence varies between people depending if they need a co-sponsor or not.

-An updated version of your Intent to marry letter.

-Evidence of an ongoing relationship since the time you filed your I-129F. Pictures, plane ticket stubs, phone bills, copies of chats, etc.

(I have to try to get away with 2 pictures and plane ticket stubs. We dont email or call, we use the thing in MSN that's like Skype).

-Medical Results, unopened.

-Packet 4

-131 US Dollars or the Canadian Equivilent.

-Passport

-Police certificate

-Birth Certificate + Copy

-Xpresspost envelope

-2 Passport photos

Am I missing anything? (I just went from the beginning to end of the process paperwork wise, it's prolly too much paper, haha)

Yeah, the Canada page really needs to be re-done.

It's really lacking in info.

I concur... no offense to whomever did it up in the first place though. :) It's a great starting point, but just needs expanded. Maybe we could get a few of us to volunteer together and each of us gets a topic to cover, and we can research that specific area extensively and submit it to a mod for approval and updating? Just a thought.

I suppose I could mention that in the forum suggestions area. lol

As has been the case in the past, I start reading about how to edit a wiki, and my eyes glaze over and I give up before I start. Kind of like euchre. Every time someone tries to teach me, and tells me it's easy, I just.... :bonk:

Just create an account -- though I don't know how restricted their wiki pages actually are, I never tried to edit a page. I just created an account, read the general/basic help page, and panicked, running away screaming from my computer screen.

I wouldn't mind helping.

I'm usually okay with this stuff.

I wouldn't mind a page titled something like "K-1 Visa for Canadians". Since Vancouver's pretty similar. Just do subsections for Montreal and Vancouver if further things needed explaining in other sections.

Maybe we could also work on keeping this updated too?

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...mp;cty=Montreal

It has some helpful stuff. I added some thing in there just now, but it still needs a little work to be completely updated and accurate.

Also, the list in the packet 4 is pretty extensive (I think) in terms of what to bring to the interview. I find it helpful.... same with what's in the packet 3.

I'm definately down to help update the wiki, especially now that so many things have changed at MTL with regards to the packet and instruction letter.

In fact...I'm going to go through and see if I can dig up the new Packet 3 and such and get them linked right now :D

What's the date on your packet 3? Not sure if you have the old or new one.

This is also a good time to do it, since about a kabillion of us have interviews in Montreal all around the same time. lol
