Ana,

No need to ask SLEC if it is okay since they KNOW Lai has her interview in March and they were the ones who asked if she was ready the day she picked up her packet 4 if she wanted to have her medical done. Also, Lai was told the medical examination was valid for 6 months. I called the embassy and requested packet 4 to be sent to SLEC. I don't know if this was special request or not. Grace at the USEM said that SLEC fetches the packets from USEM each day in the early morning, between 8-10am. Grace told me she would direct their distribution office to make our packet available to SLEC instead of going out through normal delivery.

I would advise calling the USEM and requesting the packet to be sent to SLEC if that is what you want to do, but I would not just expect it to be there.

Derrel, adding my two cents when 2 piso is getting more value

Derrel,

Make sure you get Lai to give a writeup of her experience at the medical. I would love to point it out to Charry so she knows what to expect.

Marc

First day in medical..

1. present apointment letter ( original& photocopy) and passport to the guard at the intrance. Guard will check them, return them to you and give you a set of forms to fill up. He will put a stamp on you hand (so that you can come inside the clinic again in case you go out of the clinic)

2. Fill up the forms ( be ready of your info of your fiance like petitioners name, adress, tel no. anf port of entry.)

3. Once you finished filing the forms, immediately go to USA counter and give your forms to the lady in the counter, they your passport and your 2x2 picture. they will encode them in the computer and check evrything. After checking they let you go inside the room behind the counter for photo taken.

4. Go to the cashier at the 5th floor and pay the medical fee. P5,945.00. Cashier is to your right after going out of the elevator.

5. After cashier go down to 2nd floor for the imunization interview. show your forms to the person who assign outside the imunization. take a seat and wait for your name to be called. The doctor ask if u had chicken pox and where the scars are. She will tell you how many shot, here or in the US. i told her ill have it here since its already included in the payment, so the doctor told me to give me MMR only and i should have TD shots in the US since they dont have it here.

6. AFter imunization interview go to 3rd floor for the chest x-ray. They ask me if i bring my old xray, i said no, coz i dnt have xray since i was young. im so lucky. hehehe. GOD IS GOOD he give me healthy body... Anywy, give them your forms again and they let you sign your signature same signature in your passport. I do it twice coz i sign diferently in my passport. then go inside and have your x-ray.

7. After x-ray go to 4th floor fo the blood extraction for HIV test and pregnancy test. Hand your forms to the lady whose assign in the room. You have to use the restroom inside the lab room when giving your urine sample. wait outside for the result of your pregnany test then they give your forms back to you and go to 5th floor for Pysical exam.

8. The last part of first day medical is the Physical exam at the 5 th floor, givee your form to USA counter and they let you have your, eye checkup, vital sign, and physical exam. they will give you a number and you will be told which room to go to. This is where you asked several questions about your medical history and where you must take off your clothes. if your wearing contact lens dont forget to bring your kit with you because you will be asked to remove your contact lens so be ready for that. After PE, go back to USA counter, hand your forms to them, they give your receipt and your passport, and they advice you when u go back again.

Il go back on thursday since my son give him TUBERCULIN SKIN TEST. The result is on thursday. if negative the result, they will give us our vaccination. then after, the Medical results. Thats all... il post my 2nd day of medical on thursday...THANK YOU LORD!!!

how do you go about getting an early medical, and how would your proceed without a packet?

are those forms good at the embassy website? we could just download them and print them?

my fiances interview is March 03 and the medical is feb 25

Am planning to have an early medical too. Probably by the end of Jan. Accordingly, we dont have to wait for the packet. Just print the appointment schedule that you got online and present this at SLEC.

i have it printed already. i am planning to have my early medical on the 31st... i hope everything will turn out well. i chose that date coz that's my bday. i find it a lucky day. :)

I called the USEM today and asked about the early medical and the packet. He confirmed that its ok to have the medical even more than a month before your scheduled interview. Medical Exam Results are VALID for 6 MONTHS. I also asked about going to St Lukes without the appointment letter and yes, like most of vj members tell us, just PRINT the APPOINTMENT schedule ONLINE and go to SLEC and tell them that you wish to have the early medical and that you will pick up your K1 packet there.

He told me to just bring the following:

1. payment for the examinations

2. 2x2 picture with white background (he told me to prepare around 6 just to be sure)

3. online visaappointment schedule printed.

Thats all. Did he give me the correct information?:blink::blink:

February 6-7, 2008 - EARLY MEDICAL! PASSED!!!!

March 03, 2008 - MEDICAL APPOINTMENT

March 10, 2008 - INTERVIEW!!!
