im so excited to meet some of you at the embassy!

oh.. guys, i got a question. :-)

Since we already have our appointment dates, When do you plan to prepare the sponsorship documents like I-134, letter from employer, etc? Is it too soon to have this docs signed this month?

I got my affidavit of support notarized last week and my employment letter was issued in dec 21. I plan to file my income tax on february. If you were the Consul, would you put me on A/R and request for a new employment letter and I134?

We plan on doing all the paper work the first week of Feb. We actually have almost everything done except for the things that need to get done here...I-134 and all its supporting documents.

We are going to ask for an early medical....just one week early...Feb 20....thats the day I will arrive there.

well, the list for those included in march interview is getting longer huh? cool!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I really have plans on having an early interview. Am planning the week of Feb 3. But then my interview is March 10. So if I get the medical done Feb 3-9, thats more than a month earlier than my interview. I know there are those who told me its ok (like the website of USEM says medical results are valid 6 months). But I just want reassurance (though I feel like am repeating myself). Will this be just fine? AM just worried and I need the answer ASAP as I will be doing my flight reservation next week (zamboanga-manila-zamboanga)

Please help guys. Will it really be fine to have the medical more than a month before your scheduled interview? thanks a lot from the bottom of my heart! :help::help::help::help::help::help::help::help:

Lai went to SLEC yesterday just to look at things and maybe get photos. They had her packet there, sent from USEM, and they were ready to do the medical exam, even though the interview is not until March. (She didn't get the medical exam... seems her fiancee in the US... that would be me... hadn't sent any funds for the medical yet ((WOW, things are really happening fast now!))... )

So, at this point, she is going to return next week (Jan 21,22,23) to have the medical exam.

If any of you ladies would like to communicate directly with Lai, send me a message (or look for one of her posts in this thread) and I will be happy to get you two in contact. She lives in Metro Manila and knows her way around quite well.

Based on what Derrel said, though Lai's interview is March 5, Lai will be going to have her medical tomorrow, which is more than a month earlier from her interview date. So that would mean, its ok to have the medical more than a month earlier from the interview date. Wow!!!

I will have my interview MArch 10 but planning for a Feb5&6 medical. Anybody else there?

Ana,

No need to ask SLEC if it is okay since they KNOW Lai has her interview in March and they were the ones who asked if she was ready the day she picked up her packet 4 if she wanted to have her medical done. Also, Lai was told the medical examination was valid for 6 months. I called the embassy and requested packet 4 to be sent to SLEC. I don't know if this was special request or not. Grace at the USEM said that SLEC fetches the packets from USEM each day in the early morning, between 8-10am. Grace told me she would direct their distribution office to make our packet available to SLEC instead of going out through normal delivery.

I would advise calling the USEM and requesting the packet to be sent to SLEC if that is what you want to do, but I would not just expect it to be there.

Derrel, adding my two cents when 2 piso is getting more value

Derrel,

Make sure you get Lai to give a writeup of her experience at the medical. I would love to point it out to Charry so she knows what to expect.

hello lady_ann, when i went to saintlukes im not plannng to have my medical just go to get my 2x2 photos infront of Slec. but seems im there already so i asked the guard if i can pick up my packet 4 since i read that u can pick up your packet 4 in Slec. When i pick up my packet in window G, i asked the guy who accomodate me if i can have my medical early even my schedule is on feb 25, but he said the early the better, so its ok even more than a month. i also think that better i have my early medical so that what ever happen in my result i have time to cure it. Anywy, il update you. Pray for me and my son that we passed. GOD bLESS!!!
