I'm wondering if I'm being over-anxious here --- my fiance received Packet 3 from the Embassy on April 30, and mailed back the DS-230, Part I on May 4. He express-mailed it through DHL, and DHL's tracking shows it was delivered on May 7. I'm not too concerned about us not having rec'd an interview letter yet --- but I checked with the Embassy via email to make sure they'd received the form, and they emailed me back saying they had not yet received it. They said that I should have my fiance fill out the form again and make an appointment to bring it in and drop it off. I then called the Department of State (by the way, I'm sure everyone already knows this, but DOS has access to the Embassy's database and will give you information on your case number --- the phone number is (202) 663-1225 --- I have had NO luck getting through during the M & F 1:30-3:30 Embassy visa phone hours), and they told me to wait because if DHL showed that it was delivered, it's probably just somewhere in the Embassy and hasn't made it to the visa unit yet. Anyone else have an opinion or a similar situation? Should we just hang tight and wait for the form to catch up to the visa unit? And if we do decide to make an appointment to drop off the form, does anyone know how to do that? -- of course, there were no instructions in the email as to how to make an appointment. Any advice would be much appreciated.
