Any applicant or petitioner who has applied for adjustment of status (AOS) within the last 12 months is hereby penalized for the following infraction:

Upon notification of approval of AOS, he or she expresses relief/victory/glee in the following manner:

  • Finally!
  • It's about time!
  • Would you believe....?!
  • Hold the phone....
  • Not before time! (chiefly Brit.)
  • Well, I'll be a bare-assed monkey's uncle!

and the like

Additional penalties are imposed for the following egregious offenses:

  • Use of any language outlined above within six months of AOS application submission.
  • Use of all caps (e.g., FINALLY!).
  • Haphazard, wasteful use of exclamation points (e.g., FINALLY!!!!! IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!!!).
  • Whimsical employment of sans serif fonts larger than 16 pt and in bright colors (e.g., FINALLY!!!!!!, SWEET MOTHER OF VELVEETA, IT'S HERE!!!!!!!).

Nature of reprimand to be determined.

Man, I'm becoming one cranky beeyotch.
