Hi all

Re. Affidavit of support, London filing

Is the I-864 form on the USCIS website the correct one for my husband to use to sponsor me?

Also, his parents will be co-sponsors. Is their form the I-864A from the same website?

I read somewhere that some forms were out of date, so jsut wnat to make sure I print off the correct ones.

Thanks!

Both your husband and his parents will be using the I-864. The technically correct term for his parents is joint sponsor. If one parent meets the requirement without the other parent's income, I would have that parent fill out the I-864 as the only joint sponsor. If both parents' incomes are needed, one parent will fill out the I-864 and include the other parent's income. Then the second parent would fill out the I-864A. The I-864A is for household members rather than a joint sponsor - it is a contract between the person on the I-864 and the person in the household whose income is being included.

To be sure you have the most up to date forms, I would go to the immigration forms page on www.uscis.gov.
