Wow, I'm sorry to hear this update. Was there a really good reason for her to go back home, i.e family emergency? Maybe she can convince the Embassy to help reissue the Visa in that sense. Worth a try at this point.

Good Luck!

You can only get it reactivated at the embassy or consulate, if you haven't married yet and you still have time left on the 6 months visa validity.

Once the entry on a K-1 has occured the 6 month clock is forever gone and the 90 day clock has begun. A second entry (if revalidated) is governed by the original 90 day clock that began on the first entry.

Which makes this impossible, Wayne. You know how the Jamaican embassy is. You would have to make her go today and hope and pray she would talk her way inside and get anyone convinced from there. She would have to come back here tomorrow, right, in order to make it in that 90 day window?

costly mistake and time consuming now. before it cost you $170 and your NOA2 in 56 days, total to interview was 140 days.

Now it will be $455 and your NOA2 will come in 140 days. your interview over 200 days. hope you can get it re-issued. if not you are back to square one. wow, what a blunder. thats like the couples that get their interview scheduled for K1 and then go and get married.

That blows :(

Knowing the embassy in Kingston, I do not think they are going to reissue the visa.

I have to agree with you on this. And, I'm sorry.

She was told at the embassy that if she was married already they would have helped her to go back, but tyet are not a position to help her now.

Maybe someone can be helped by this in the future, show this post to anyone who "think" they want to go back home and was foolish enough to do so without considering the consequences, basically wrecking everything that took so much pain and money to accomplish.

She is now paying the price and so am I, I'm done period.

Thanks for all you kind words and help.

Do you have Jay's private e-mail, Wayne? If so, direct him to this thread please.
