I know these are for K1, but it should be similar..

http://www.ins-fiance-visa.com/ins-fiance-...-interview.html

http://www.ins-fiance-visa.com/ins-fiance-...s-examples.html

(Examples of real short, short, long, very long interviews)

damn.. that's all I can say.. :crying: :crying: :crying:

those "long" and "very long" interviews scare me.. I can't draw her telephone.. I can draw her room, bed, computer, bathroom.. but not that specific.. although I have plenty of photos (1,000+) if they want those..

YuAndDan, this is my "interview" for just getting approved.. I'm not approved yet for either one.. this is an example of what happens during a "local office interview".. I'll worry about the Guangzhou interview later... this one makes that too easy..

are you able to do something like this :

This interview was held with husband and wife separately after the review of documents and tax returns. The officer asked each for their house keys and marked them for comparison. The officer asked for wedding pictures. The officer then asked each to draw their bedroom putting in bed, windows, closets, TV's, lights. What color was the bedroom carpet? Where was the telephone? What color was the telephone? Was the telephone a cordless or corded telephone? When did the wife last cook for the husband? What was cooked? Where was it served? What is the work telephone number for the husband? What are their intentions for children? Duration of this interview was about an hour and a half.

and the thing is your answers for these have to match.. not even by one off..

This is called a "Stokes" interview, and happens some times at the green-card Adjustment of Status interview, if USCIS feels that the marriage is not a bona fide one.

Yu and Dan, gogo's wife still lives in China, but the letter requests both be at the interview. I guess this is a standard letter used for interviews. I could see a stoke's interview if they both lived together. Their seems to be very little information on field office interviews on VJ. My search returns VJer's asking about their interview, but nobody resonding with their experience of the interview. Do you have any suggestions for gogo?

This is how I would handle the situation:

Assuming the beneficiary's address is listed in China on the petitions, which I am sure they are, I would be calling and asking in a calm voice: if they have issued a visitor's visa; why my spouse is required to attend; who is paying for the plane ticket ; and if my spouse will be allowed to stay after the interview?

I think before you get through these questions you will find out: 1. if the person on the phone knows enough to answer your questions 2. What is really required for the interview 3. or be requesting to speak with someone who knows the answers.

If I'm not mistaken, gogo has not gotten a letter asking for any interview yet. It is lillyytaz ( http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=96493 ) that got a letter about a local office interview for both to attend together in US.

Gogo, relax, collect information and do research, but you have to wait to actually see what they are going to do (e.g. send letter like lulyytaz's or interview you individually, just send it back to CSC when they realize that this was an error, etc.).

This interview was held with husband and wife separately after the review of documents and tax returns. The officer asked each for their house keys and marked them for comparison.
