AOS FILING QUESTION

Sorry to trouble you with this but I'm getting confused.

My husband came in October 1 on a fiance visa. We were married October 24. We are now going to apply for an adjustment of status. Do I need to also fill out an I-130 Petition for Alien Relative and submit that along with the filing fee? And if so, can I send both packages together.

You only submit the I-130 with the I-485 if you met in the US and married in the US.

Thanks for all your help.

I had called the Department of Homeland Security and explained the situation and was told that I still needed to file the I-130 but did not have to pay the fee. That didn't sound quite right to me and this site seems to show that all I have to do is provide the documents required for the adjustment of status.
