You should be completely truthfully of the questions you are asked.

Ie, What is the purpose of your trip? to visit

Who are you visiting? My boyfriend.

By not coming out that you are visiting your boyfriend and being evasive on your answers by saying "a friend" you will give the officer justification to ask even more questions and give the officer suspision that you are trying to hide something.

You don't need to spill your whole life story as soon as you are infront of the officer - just answer the questions they want to know truthfully and direct.

if there is already a petition submitted with your name on it, the CBP is going to know about it as soon as they put your name in the computer and check your ID. Always answer truthfully, and succinctly. Don't give them more than they ask for, and be polite.

I went back and forth several times during our relationship, both before and after our petitions were put in, and always told them who I was visiting and for how long. I was rarely hassled, and I was only hassled because I had been flagged because of work trips, not vacation trips.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!
