hello, well I applied for I-129F K1 visa and we sent the right application for I-129F because we didn't marry yet.

- My Fiance didn't get the letter (hard copy) to his address so he called and got the receipt number to check the case online

and it said application type I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, does it suppose to say

I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)?

- So I feel like I got the wrong case number? Does it ever happen to you guys?

Try calling to check case status and get to speak to a person, they usually ask for Case Number, Name and Address.

If the info matches, they might have made a mistake entering info into the computer.

YES sadly but truthfully it is quite possible considering all the extra paperwork USCIS has had in past 3 months with so many people filing in late July trying to beat the new fee increase rush. Things have been messed up and delayed now for 3 months. YOU need to call that 800 customer service number now and talk to a person and let them know what has happened so it can be checked on and fixed asap. AND make sure you write down the person name, ID# and date and time you call them.
