What is a womans option after getting her 2 year conditional green card if she is in an abusive marriage? is there any special exceptions to her getting her condition lifted?

Thanks

If she chooses to divorce, she should make certain she has evidence to support the bonafide nature of the marriage, while she remained married. Same sort of evidence that anyone would submit to remove conditions, but for a shorter period of time, naturally. She can file a waiver of the joint-filing requirement once a divorce decree is available.

If she is in an abusive situation, but the USC will not cooperate and jointly file to remove the conditions, she may petition alone to remove conditions alone, citing the USC's unwillingness to cooperate as her abuse grounds.

You entered the marriage in good faith and have remained married, but have been battered or subjected to extreme cruelty by your U.S. citizen or permanent resident spouse; or

You can 'catch' me on here and on FBI.
