Hi again. I'm trying to get prepared for the interview at some point, hopefully this year. Any way, what I'm wondering is how will I know if my daughter has to come with me to MTL. She is listed on the I-129F application. I will have her DS 156 filled out. As well, she will have to come with me for a medical too, right.

Thanks for your help. This site is a fountain of information and assistance.

You will need everything on the checklist for her as well.....with the exception of the divorce decrees and the Police Certificate if she is under 16.

Therefore you need her:

Passport

Photos

Birth Certificates

Forms filled out for her

Medical

All this will be in Packet 3 so no worries. My daughter is 15.....the Dr appointment wasn't overly popular with her, but otherwise not a big deal. At the interview in Montreal - they didn't even speak to her (despite the fact that you can't miss her at 6' with masses of curly hair :) ) Frankly - she was just there for the electronic fingerprints and nothing more.

Does anyone have the exact age when they have to attend? 14+ I think ?

Kelsie is 13 ... so I'm hoping the medical will be straight forward for her. I know she won't have to have x-rays or the blood work. Will be interesting when the time comes ...

My daughter had the bloodwork and Xrays....I think she was more excited about missing a ½ day of school! It was a basic once over, I think she gets a more thorough checkup when she goes to the Dr for a sore throat. In my opinion it's more about the money and less about the 'check-up' they actually do.

Since we're in Canada, we're unlikely to have missed immunizations or have had any of the dreaded diseases some 3rd world countries might have I suppose.

So where is the closest Dr for you guys (being from up North)? Do you have to make a special trip somewhere?

I found it was really easy to get a note from our current Dr(for a fee of course) about the state of our health and any medications we currently took (like the Pill for me) and how long I had been under his care. Got the immunization records from the Regional Health unit and we were ready.

Cheers
