No he always raggs on the peeps from New Hampshire saying they marry their cousins and stuff. I love when he puts on the theme from the Andy Griffith show whenever there's a crime up there. :lol::lol:

I have been reading about this on the web. Some states do prohibit marriage between cousins. Not all. I have found nothing in Federal law that prohibits marriage between cousins.

that's because the states issue marriage licenses, not the federal government.

Well, then I don't see how they would be breaking any FEDERAL LAW by being married cousins. Since there is no law or prohibition against it.

If they bring it up, the consulate will be concerned that it is a legal marriage in the place they will reside and where the marriage was performed. They should bring proof that it legal in their state/county of USC residence and where the marriage was performed, if overseas.

Otherwise, I wouldn't bring it up if they don't.
