Cebu to Manila for medical & interview

My fiancée will be flying from Cebu to Manila for her medical & interview, being that this is Eve’s first experience flying I thought maybe with your help we can make this short trip as smooth as possible…so my questions are.

1. If I pay for the trip online can Eve just stop at any Philippine Airline office and pick up her ticket? If the answer is yes….are their any offices located in SM mall? Or Ayala mall?

2. When I was waiting for my flight out of Cebu I remember reading something about Filipinos paying a departure tax…is this only when leaving the country? Or even when flying within the Philippines? How much is this tax?

Any advise to help make this a pleasant experience would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure about the ticket. I just gave Claudeth the money and she bought them there, was cheaper that way.

I think there is an airport tax that you pay to travel within the country and then there is the departure tax which was about 550 pesos when I last left the RP. The travel agent should be able to help with all of that.

Good luck

I suggest you just send her the money to buy the ticket. .there are a lot of ticket outlets in Cebu and it is cheaper. She can directly buy from PAL office , one is located in SM or any travel company ( Grand Hope is a good one and located at the ground floor of SM) there are also other airline offices in SM if she chooses to fly with another airline like Cebu Pacific or Asian Spirit.

The Terminal Fee will depend on the place. Like my place Dipolog City which is just a small city but has an airport with a daily flight to Manila and back, we only pay P20.00 for it. Manila and other big cities now charge P200.00 as terminal fee. I just arrived from Manila from my interview and I paid P200.00 so probably Cebu City Airport is the same too. The P550.00 terminal fee is paid for international travels.

Goodluck !!

Thanks for the advice!! We are currently working with Grand Hope to get Eve's passport so I guess she can also use them to book the ticket, I'm just so used to paying for everything online!

Congratulations Myla!! hope we will be singing that same tune in November!!

I have found the prices for PAL is higher buying it here in the states. The easiest way is to send her the money. But you can purchase Cebu Pacific online, but you have to use Mastercard. She will have to pay 200 pesos tax each way for domestic terminal fee. When she flies international she will pay 750 pesos terminal fee when flying out of manila to USA.

You can book and pay for her ticket online either from Cebu Pacific (cheaper) or PAL. She can then just print out the e-ticket from online and present that at the airport. I've always done that. I'll be flying Cebu Pacific for my interview though..

Good luck!

We buy tickets online (Cebu Pacific) and print the e-ticket from there. She will just show it at the airport and remind her to bring her valid id. It's that easy! No need for her to go to Ticket office.
