Hi there,

My medical exam is older than a year and when I applied for AOS I submitted the vaccination sheet, have a copy from Germany exam. Do I need a complete new exam or is the vaccination sheet good enough?

Thanks for your advice,

Anja

They might send you a RFE for the full exam since it is over the 12 months. Just dont be surprised if they do.

We waited over year to file AOS. We got an RFE for the medical. We shopped around and the local CS allowed us to get all of the lab test through our DR so that insurnace would cover it.

We never received an RFE for the medical, just the interview appointment letter for the AOS interview. Will they ask for a second medical at the interview or just for the vaccination sheet?

Anja

The checklist says:

A complete medical examination (Form I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted).

We submitted the medical exam in 02/2006 in Germany at the visa interview in Frankfurt. The question is do I have to go again to see a doc or will they accept what they already have in my file?

They may accept it but they may not. Pretty much it comes down to your local office and interviewing officer on the day. Yes they may issue you a RFE on the day and it will give you 90 days to have it done and return to them.

I would just wait and see if you can handle an extra wait for your card just in case they do give you a RFE. If you want to make sure that you have all ready to go on hand at interview (in case) and if you want to get approved same day... hopefully... then go ahead and have the full medical to take with you. Up to you. Best of luck.
