I wonder how often K1 visa can be denied? And what are common reasons for deny? I have never done over stay. My boyfriend and I have been doing long distance since Sept2006. I finished my school in the US and came back to Japan and now i am getting working experience. He also got a career. And now we thought that it was time for us to get married so we filed in July 28th. We have been together since high school. I am sooo sooo worried.

The important thing is the proof of relationship. If you have been together for a long time I don't think you will have anything to worry about. Good luck

Santa Ana?? I'm from Santa Ana too :D

Congratulations on your engagement!!! If you are working in Japan, why not get married there, live there 6 months and file an I-130 to the embassy in Tokyo. It would probably be a lot less stressful and time consuming than the I129F route.

Nonetheless, good luck!

edit: maybe I misunderstood. Are you and your fiance both living and working in Japan? You or your fiance should look up my fiance on mixi. She has a great support group on there for people with American fiances waiting around for Visa's.

Yes I lived in Santa Ana for a long time. I actually lived with my boyfriend when we went to college together. I graduate from CSULB and he graduated from UCI. We had to do long distance because we were just out of college and needed some working experiences. he got a real career now so we decided to marry.
