Just here to update u guys. We had been approved last Nov 21 both interview and visa pick up on Nov 23. I will write the whole experience when I get there in US na since I am busy with my husband here. Ill promise to share it with u guys. Question. How many 2x2 photos are required for the USEM interview?

You will need 2 photos for the DS forms. Don't forget to attach them to the forms in advance.

A few more questions, please.

For the NBI Clearance, do you need to have your thumb print (or finger print) on the clearance form? I believe my wife's document has a place for a finger print, but they didn't have her add it. She did say they scanned her finger print on a computer or something.

Second, what do you do with the $100 payment receipt DS form given by BPI? Can that be simply attached to the pre-printed out DS-156/7 form that my wife already filled out, or does she have to fill out and use the blank form she received. I heard you can just attach it like a receipt? Is this correct? Also does the US Embassy prefer the DS-156/7 (and receipt) need to be paper clipped or stapled together?

Here is a little advise for those reading this thread. There is a great hotel near both the St. Luke's Extension and the US Embassy. It is called Cherry Blossoms. They have a room for only P1,515 which includes hot water shower and a simple breakfast included. Also there is a wonderful Yahoo! Group called MAG-ANAK that has very knowledgable members. They stray off topic a lot, but are very helpful when asked specific questions. There is a guy on there named Ray Bacon that is excellent.

Sis Rina, I have been approved. The Consul asked me 5 questions and bingo!, He told me, Your Visa has been approved and welcome to USA. The Pre screener didnt asked me for BC,MC,NBI, and police. Pictures were asked though. I didnt asked for Visa Pick up. I was too hungry too think about it. All I wanted at that time was food, foood foood..... foooooooooooooooooooooooooood. Anyway, I'm hoping to receive my Visa soon... THanks to Visajourney and the members who helped me a lot during the process. Special thanks to you Sis Rina...for being patient in answering my queries and for being so supportive and specially for being a friend. And I would like also to thank JAYZAR (jyz) for she has helped me alot during my Medical at St. Lukes. She patiently waited for me till I finished my Medical. thaks to sis Lhedy also.

Just make sure u have two copies of DS156 and DS157 , they dont get my DS156k though coz they said its for K1, and make sure u glued ur pictures already coz many have to come back in line for that when they have to get ur lucky ticket nub. Goodluck to ur interview, and that day is my b-day so im sure u will approved lol ,

They did the same thing with my husband's. They should have asked you to go to the stamping area where that box area needed to be thumb printed manually. Just buy a stamp pad and you can just do it on your own. It is not valid without your thumbprint.

My visa was approved and also our request for visa pick up! Thanks to all the informative threads here in visa journey that helped us throughout the process!

The consul was nice, it was'nt like an interview... more of a light chat! Note that he was smiling if not laughing the whole time!

He asked me:

*Where did we meet.. told him thru internet

*what site..... Hot or not

*is he (my fiance) hot?... told him Yes sir! And so am I!!!! He laughed.

*did he propose?

*how many divorce my did fiance had?

*he asked where the pictures were taken, our picture with a background "simpson the movie" caught his attention, and our Mt Pinatubo Treck, he asked how long was the treck and told me that he once saw the crater but on board a helicopter!

* About my job....

what kind of job I have... when I told him his reply was "Really... wow!"

did I go into the academy or some sort of training?

how was I commissioned?

where am I assigned?

* he browsed thru our chat messages.... he laughed again... I asked why, and he told me coz he saw Britney! I said yes sir, me and my fiance talk about everything even Britney!! He replied back "Yes, that's what i'm looking how real is your relationship!"

*He said "Let's check if your comrades have any record of you." he typed my name on his computer, and said " Clear! and your are approved!"

I thanked him after that. I asked him for a visa pick up which he granted. I also gave him the letter request for visa pick up Neil prepared.

The pink slip for visa pick up was handed to me on the check out counter! I was advised that they will call me when it is available and there's a good chance that it will be available this week!
