I've seen some folks here that they already have interview schedule when in fact, they filed later than me. Some filed on September, October, November, December 2007. And have their interview schedule squared away. Take note, they're also in Vermont Service Center. With this trend, should I be worried about not having an interview schedule yet considering that I filed ahead of these people? I can understand if they had different Service Centers than mine. But, for God's sake, we're in the same Vermont Service Center. I don't understand! :help:

The interview is held at your local office, so if they have a back-log then you will take longer to get a interview date than people whos local office is not so busy.....

interview date depends solely on Field (aka local) USCIS office (and of course FBI check) - so compare your priority date only with your own office, if you are behind then worry about name check

for example - you can find many cities progress tracking here: http://boards.immigrationportal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18

to find your Field Office by zipcode go here: https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of....office_type=LO

Thank you, Feliz. The links you've provided are very informative. I also looked at the Philly District Office Timelines and it appeared to me that it would take me more or less until December 2008 to complete my N-400 Application. This is bad news to me :crying: I will not be able to vote on November.
