My Russian LPR wife filed an I-130 petition for her son on 8/19/24. The petition was approved 8/28/25. My stepson's 21st birthday was 10/22/2025. With CSPA, I calculate he doesn't age out until 10/31/2026.

Did I calculate his age out date correctly?

I just checked the June Visa Bulletin and the F2A final action date is 1/1/25. If I calculated his CSPA extended 21st BD is correct, he has not aged out and his case is CURRENT. Is that correct?

I have filed his DS260 and the required documents. Once his PD becomes current next month, do we need to do anything? Or does the NVC automatically start working on it?

I realize they aren't actually issuing Visas, so that won't happen until later. But I am hoping someone here will confirm that his case is current and tell me what we should be doing, if anything.

Once it is current, what effect does a FA date retrogression have on it, if God forbid that would happen?

TIA.
