Hi everyone, I’m currently starting my K-1 visa process and wanted to get recent timelines (2025–2026) from others here. How long did it take from I-129F filing to NOA2? How long after NOA2 did your case reach the embassy/interview stage? Any recent experiences would really help

You can search timelines on the forum at the top of the page - please fill yours in too to add to the body of knowledge on VJ (on your profile) once you’ve started. You’ve also got the wrong visa type of your profile so might want to correct that. Once you’ve done that and added your initial timeline in, I believe you get an estimate from the forum as to when your I-129f might be approved.

Figure about a year as a (very) rough guide assuming no complicating factors.

Good luck.

Anecdotally, a friend that we helped file the I-129F had his received on 7/31/2025 and got his approval on 3/18/2026.

Currently about 8-10 months, but past results do not guarantee future performance, AND individual cases are different, there are always outliers. In addition USCIS now started request biometrics from I-129F petitioners as part of deeper background checks and also shifting its operations from CA to TX. What effect it will have on future timelines is anyone's guess.
