Hello everyone,

My priority date is November 23, 2017. My country of origin is India, and I am currently a Canadian citizen.

I was wondering whether I should transfer my case from F2B to F1, since the April 2026 visa bulletin makes my priority date current for filing. Or would it be better to continue with the F2B process?

Additionally, could someone please explain the procedure for transferring a case from F2B to F1 for Montreal NVC.

Thank you!

Are you currently outside of the US? Or inside and adjusting status?

Did your parent update their status with NVC when they became a citizen?
