I decided to give it 8 weeks, and allow 2 extra weeks for a Christmas slowdown, and that time is up now

For what? Sorry but it’s not clear what you were expecting to happen?

As @Boiler said, applying so soon after a refusal isn’t a good idea. Leave it a year or two.

i’d also research really carefully before you apply again. Find out the exact offences you’ve been convicted of, or admitted to. Because non dwelling burglary could be up to 10 years in prison, or could be a much lower punishment, depending on the exact details of your crime. I think you need to look into that before you decide whether to apply again or not.  https://sentencingcouncil.org.uk/guidelines/non-domestic-burglary/

Also, how long ago were these offences committed? If they were recent, then pretty much no chance, and that’s another reason to leave it as long as possible before reapplying.

As far as I'm aware, the maximum possible sentence was 6 months. And all I received was a fine. When I looked into it, a fine was not even an available option for a category 1 or 2 offense. Only for category 3, for which the maximum sentence was 6 months. This was 30 years ago (The offense, I mean. The maximum sentence is based on current information)

The refusal form mentioned a mandatory supervisory review. I was told (Admittedly by ChatGPT!) that those take 6 to 8 weeks, but to allow extra time for a Christmas slowdown.

Never use AI for immigration advice. You were refused, there’s no recourse other than applying again further down the line.

But leave it a couple of years and then if you decide to try again, it may be worth consulting with a lawyer first. Even if you were recommended for a waiver of ineligibility that takes a year anyway so it’s never going to be a quick or easy process. There are other countries that would be less hassle so personally I’d just holiday elsewhere!

Good luck.

You were refused under 214b
