title says it all really. we are in the lot of the usatraveldocs site migrating accounts to usvisascheduling.com and some accounts did not get truly synced with NVC and therefore we think this is why the original appointment is not showing there (or maybe because NVC scheduled it and Manila consulate sent us the date/time by email.)

only option in usvisascheduling.com profile is to cancel case and open new one but we don't want to get pushed way down line as a new case but rather have the ability to pick earliest open dates for our specific case that has all been done except interview (because they didn't accept our court signed/stamped (LA Superior court does not use a raised seal) certified true copy of California divorce decree LA County, divorce is 29 years old on microfiche and I had no original so I got the Arcdocs certified true copy which Embassy site says they accept but the filipino guard would not.)

thought to use the manila consul visa inquiry form https://ph.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-inquiry-form/ and tell them we have apostilled doc now and please give us earliest appointment since they know we were just there at embassy.

so ask first on inquiry form or cancel and hope the appointment calendar option shows and hope it doesn't say "no dates available" and if there are then hope they are not 2 more months away after our medical exams SLEC expire? lotta hoping don't make me feel good in PH.

what you think? thnx all

I wish I saw such a list or thread before so let's make a detailed one of rejections and your fix that worked and when it was. Manila embassy website says one thing but reality at gate is not the same and using politeness and logic and or facts showing guards the words on the embassy website on your phone or printed out already does nothing.

And my question: because they didn't accept (got yellow slip 221g) our court wet signature/stamped (LA Superior court does not use a raised seal) certified true copy of California divorce decree LA County, divorce is 29 years old on microfiche and I had no original so I got the Arcdocs certified true copy recently which Embassy site says they accept but the filipino guard would not, nor would the filipina worker he showed it to at the desk behind his stand (saying it should be on thicker paper LOLOL. It's a literal photocopy the court prints (sorry I can't force the Superior Court to buy the thickness of paper you think then makes it real) of the original document with a stamp (says this is a certified true copy etc.) and wet signature of court. Now I sent the certified true copy for Apostille from state of CA but the certified true copy with Apostille will still be exact same physical paper that got rejected by guard checking you have all needed docs before going into interview area. Anyone make it through with exact same papers we will have next appointment? (Calif Apostille attached to the black and white no raised seal certified true copy divorce decree)

thnx all

What were the docs you took to Manila interview if your NVC appointment letter had the below note in it, and how do you take 'originals' of bank and IRA's that only have online portal and are totally paperless in 2026?  Thank you!

  • Your sponsors (petitioner, household members and joint sponsors) may be required to provide updated or more information for you to present at your interview, such as:
    • Other income
    • Assets
    • Proof of current employment

We don’t know what kind of visa case you’re asking about, please do fill in your timeline thx.

Are you saying you had your interview and were given a 221g for a missing doc? Or you’ve not had your interview at all (if so, how did you get the 221g)?

sorry, new here, CR1 yes we went for interview, did not get to talk to interview officer, just the document checker after you go in the steel/glass locked door and got 221g not for missing a doc but because they didn't accept our court signed/stamped (LA Superior court does not use a raised seal) certified true copy of California divorce decree LA County, divorce is 29 years old on microfiche and I had no original so I got the Arcdocs certified true copy which Embassy site says they accept but the filipino guard would not.)

but question is not about the unaccepted doc, we now have an apostilled version to take to new interview date so we're asking about the two options to reschedule the new interview, described in more detail in the first post and the issue at usvisascheduling.com. thanks for helpful advice;)

You need to reschedule online, as directed in their instructions. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MNL-Manila.html

This also answers your question about the I-864, a copy is fine.

Good luck.
