good afternoon all.

 

i wanted some assistance on my case. married to a us citizen, I applied concurrently with all the appropriate forms i-130, I-485 etc

 

i have had my green card interview scheduled. Attended the interview with my wife, during the interview we were told that the marriage is bonafide and that they are happy with all the documents. However, they do not see any evidence of intention to remain in the US. She said that she is “worried I would get the green card” then leave the country and since it is a 10 year green card, she wants to make sure that she sees intent to remain. So she asked to upload new documents to the I-485 portal, things such as a lease and insurance etc. or job. 
 

i have since then moved into a rental property with my partner (as we were previously living with family) 

 

I have also since uploaded all relevant documentation, lease agreement, water, gas and electric bills. And my new work contract. 
 

 

she said if you upload it within a couple weeks she will get a notification that an upload has been made and she would approve my case if I upload the correct document. 
 

so far it has been 2 months since my interview and since I uploaded the documents. I am wondering if it is just a waiting game? Or is there something I can do to get them going again on my case, since my interview they have approved my I-765 (work permit) and my I-130. But the I-485 remains as “interview scheduled” on the website. 
 

 

if anyone can help that would be a great help.

Friends of ours had their interview July 29th and have heard nothing since.... I know every case is different but I don't get why they need additional 2-3 months to adjudicate some cases after the interview. Hope you guys hear soon!
