Usc who petitioned siblings 20 years ago and now received welcome letter from Nvc this week. My sister original i130 did not have her child at the time, child is now 14 and will not have be registered for processing fee. How do we add derivative child to my sister case ds260 will ask biological children and he will be registered but how will he have his visa at the same time as my sister and spouse?

ive read on other threads about dq date changing but not sure if that would be an issue with this case. Could some one please guide me through this? Greatly appreciated!

You’ll need to add him on CEAC - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing/ceac-faqs.html#ceac16

 

DQ isn’t relevant until you’ve paid fees, uploaded docs etc for all applicants. Only once you’ve done that will you be DQ’ed, and then it will be back to waiting for a visa to ge available.
