Greetings!

It's been 16 days now since  my beneficiary and his derivative submitted their Immigrant Visa Applications in CEAC. Until now there's no START NOW button to upload the AOS and Civil Documents as instructed from NVC Immigrant Visa >Process Step 9.

Step 9: Upload and Submit Scanned Documents

IMPORTANT:Do not send any documents to NVC by mail. However, you must bring every civil document you uploaded and submitted with your application to your visa interview.

To submit documents, log into CEAC and go to the “Start Now” buttons located under Affidavit of Support Documents and Civil Documents. When you have uploaded all the required documents for each section, press “Submit Documents”. The “Submit Documents” buttons will not work unless you have uploaded all of the required documents for each person. Once you press “Submit Documents”, your case will be placed in line for review at the National Visa Center (NVC).

I sent an inquiry to nvc.state.gov/inquiry but the response is not clear. I asked them to check our CEAC portal so that the Start Now button will enable us to submit the necessary documents. I stated that they already have the Confirmation Number for submitting the IV Application. This is their response:

NVC received either a fee payment or mail from you recently. However, we must have all of the following items before we can review your case:

1) Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (Form DS-260):

    - Complete one of these forms for each person who intends to immigrate.

    - Complete the form online and submit to NVC.

    - Follow the instructions on https://nvc.state.gov/260 (English) or https://nvc.state.gov/260/espanol.

2) Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and financial supporting evidence (not required for employment-based petitions):

    - The Petitioner files this form.

    - Follow the instructions on https://nvc.state.gov/aos (English) or https://nvc.state.gov/aos/espanol (Spanish) to complete the form and collect the correct financial evidence.

3) Supporting Civil Documents:

    - For each person who intends to immigrate, submit civil documents, such as birth certificates and marriage certificates.

    - Follow the instructions on https://nvc.state.gov/document (English) or https://nvc.state.gov/document/espanol (Spanish) to learn which civil documents to submit.

    - Submit photocopies of these documents. Do not send original certificates.

    - For information on how to submit these documents by mail, please visit https://nvc.state.gov/mail

If you have already sent in all of the applicable items above, we will review your case. For current processing times, please visit our website at https://nvc.state.gov/timeframes. We will let you know after our review if anything is missing or if any other action is required.

***FINANCIAL SPONSORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial sponsors, joint sponsors, and applicants should be aware of the responsibilities arising from a sponsored immigrant's acceptance of federal means-tested public benefits. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos ***

How long will it take to submit the documents to CEAC after IV Application was submitted?

Sorry for this long letter of mine. I hope someone can advise me what to do regarding the submission of AOS and Civil Documents.

Thank as always VJ family😍
