I'm looking at both Kayak and the PAL website. Are there useful sites I am unaware of? Dina does CFO in 2.5 hours. She wants to take a week

or two to recover from the chaos of the last month, then she'll be ready to hop the big bird.

PAL seems to be the only direct to Honolulu. And price is almost double flights that stop in Seoul or Tokyo first.

Other than the greed component. I don't understand the economics of aerospace.

PAL charges high prices because they can.  Allot of Filipinos in the US are willing to pay extra for familiarity and the convenience of non-stop.  Although PAL is not a premium airline they have no problem filling their planes charging premium prices.

Be careful about any of the super cheap "self transfer" fares you may see because they may require clearing immigration in transit and that option might not be viable at all or at least complicated for Filipino Passport holders.

Sometimes budgetair.com has slightly lower prices for flights originating in the Philippines.  We use them from time to time and have had no problems but be sure of your travel plans because they would not be easy to make changes with.

If you don't get a direct flight your Pinay may have to transfer the bags herself to the connecting flight or flights!  I don't want my fiance having to deal with that... also if any baggage is delayed so is your reunion!

Its worth it to me to pay maybe 50% more on PAL to get a direct flight, and I think they have good service, food isnt bad either.

I use cheapoair to book my PAL flight for the last few years, I looked on all the other sites and roughly all the same from HNL, only PAL goes directly from HNL to MNL, some other airlines make stops in Guam, Korea and japan, but PAL is the only direct flight to MNL and HNL
