No update still sadly 😢

What do you mean by API check?

Log into your MyUSCIS account and then in another tab enter the following URL

https://my.uscis.gov/account/case-service/api/cases/Your IOE Number

Put your receipt number at the end where I put "Your IOE Number" and you will get an API readout. In there you will see a section that says "updatedAt": with a date after it. That date is usually  the last time someone at USCIS opened your case file

Best of luck to everyone. It's frustrating for sure to have to wait for so long after an interview.

I have noticed though that some people get approval at exact times after an interview. 24 hours, 2 weeks, 1 month, 60 days, 100 days, etc.  At least that is what I saw on the subreddit.  Not trying to get anyone's hopes up though, just found it interesting.

We got an API update from Saturday..  "updatedAt": "2025-09-27",

However, we did an FOIE request out of curiosity about a week, and they gave us acknowledgment Saturday. These could be related, but I am unsure.

Otherwise, the only change I noticed was that the estimated time went from 30 months to 14 months. 🤣

You mean FOIA? I would have done it after approval or before filing. From what I understand, when you request FOIA, processing of your case temporarily pauses to gather all information.

We did a FOIA request for Jaycel to get her entire A-File after she got her Green card. The request was acknowledged on 08/06/2025 and we got an API Update that same day.

Yes, I meant an FOIA request. I had saw some people on reddit doing this during the processing. Oh well. I don't think it will delay anything. We only requested a small amount of information, not the entire file. To my understanding, aren't these FOIA requests handled separately anyway? I was under the impression USCIS had dedicated FOIA staff to respond to these requests.

That is interesting. Yeah, I figure the API update was related to the FOIA request.  I wonder if the estimator drops the time as a response to the API update. 🤣

I wish I had a clue to the logic and algorithm behind that portal. LOL Our friends who have been waiting on a decision since their interview on July 29th just filed a service request through the egov.yscis.gov site. We'll see if that shakes anyone's tree.

That was our thought process as well. Hopefully it will get someone to do something. 😁 Our officer told us everything was perfect and even gave us a timeline for the delivery of packet and GC in the mail. I wonder what the hang up is 🤷‍♂️ Montgomery Field Office is known for being quick. One person I know, and their family, got their naturalization approved in like 2 months. Granted, those are quicker anyway.

Good Luck. Today is 20 days for us, and tomorrow exactly 3 weeks.
