Trump's Tariffs Have Exposed Trudeau's Canada as a Failing State


On Feb. 1, 2025, President Trump ratified an executive order that pledged to impose a tariff of 25% on all goods from Canada, as well as a 10% tariff on Canadian energy.


Thankfully, after various tense negotiations and two urgent phone calls with Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, President Trump agreed to delay imposing any tariffs on Canada for 30 days.


Unfortunately, President Trump's tariffs are not the result of some economic disagreement or an imbalance in the market.  Rather, Trump's tariffs are merely the economic symptom of a greater disease, and they have exposed the degenerate state of the Canadian nation.


In fact, since the advent of the Trudeau government, Canada has started to exhibit the hallmarks of a failed state and its national collapse now threatens the national security of its longtime ally, the United States of America.  [...]
