So I came into the country with a K1 visa and already got married at the courthouse two days ago. But while filing the 485 I've seen a couple of things that got me a bit worried.

First of all, I'm seeing conflicting answers on whether or not I have an Alien registration number, as I thought those were for immigrant visas only and supposedly the K1 was a non-immigrant visa. I can't find my A number anywhere so I'm assuming I don't have one yet?

Now, for Part 1-13, I got married meaning I'm now a family member of the US citizen, would that mean my status has changed or do I have to put in 'no' there? If yes, then what should I write in for question 14?

For part 3, I remember filing something regarding an Affidavit of Support when applying for the K1 visa, but not quite sure If I should check 1e or 1f or just leave it blank.

Finally, I already have an appointment and sent in an e-application for a SSN, I've gotta deliver the documents on the 18th, should I just put in 'No' on whether I want SSA to issue a social security card or am I better off just waiting until I get it before filing this form?

Thank you so much for any help anyone can give me, this Is such an intimidating form and I really want to do this right.

We received Jaycel's A-Number on the I-129F Approval Notice (NOA2) - It was in small print just above her name in the "Beneficiary" section of the notice. They are not just for Immigrant Visas. They are assigned to non-citizens (generally) who apply for or are the beneficiary of an immigration benefit application or petition. Your A-File will be with you for the rest of your immigration journey

As a K-1 Visa applicant for adjustment you will check 1.f.

Part 1. Question 13 is asking if your last arrival to the US is the first time you were physically present in the United States - It has nothing to do with wether or not your are married to your US Citizen Spouse

Question 14 - Depends on if you file the I-485 prior to your 90 days after entry or after your 90 days. If before, you are still a K-1 visa holder, if it's after the 90 days then you are an out of status K-1 visa holder

This also has some caveats... are you going to take your spouse's name after the marriage? If so, are you going to use your AOS forms to officially change your name?

Thanks to @TBoneTX there is better advice on this if you are filing after the 90 days:

Two attorneys advised writing "K-1 entrant -- applicant for adjustment"; or, more simply, "K-1 entrant -- adjustment applicant."

Sorry for taking so long to respond, and thank you so much for helping me out!

It was question 14, mixed up my numbers. But on that topic, for form I-765 part 2, question 25, should I put in K-1 Visa holder or Immediate Relative?

Not planning to no, I'm not changing my name but I'd like to apply for a green card and work permit as soon as possible so if I can apply before I get my SSN I'd like to do so.

You would put "K-1 Visa Holder" if filing within the 90 days and if filed after the 90 days "K-1 Entrant - Adjustment Applicant"

So in this case... If you don't include your SSN and select "No" on the forms, since you're not doing a name change, it won't make a difference on the EAD. When you get the AOS approved and Green Card issued, you will then need to make an appointment to go to the SSA so you can update your immigration status with them and remove the "NOT VALID FOR EMPLOYMENT WITHOUT DHS AUTHORIZATION" that will be on your SS Card when they issue it to you now.
