That’s fine then (assuming you didn’t apply for the EB more than 3 years ago?). It would only be an issue if she had got her F1 when she actually had immigrant intent and could be accused of misrepresentation - but doesn’t sound like that’s the case at all.

Yeah, that's not the case.

Our first EB application (EB2-NIW) was a year ago and got rejected, so applied for EB1A this month. She has been on F1 prior to all of these EB applications.

Thanks for your guidance

You’re all good then, no immigrant intent when she applied for her non-immigrant visa.

Best of luck.

If you ticked the box on your DS-260, then you should receive them automatically within 2 weeks of entering on your immigrant visa. Ours were waiting for us at our rental house 8 days after we arrived.

If you didn’t tick that box, you’ll need to go to a SSA office and apply in person.

Great thank you! Yes I ticked the box.

Hi all, I am arriving in the USA tomorrow for the first time since my EB1A was approved (Nashville and then final destination LA) and BA are asking for my Green Card details for check in. I have the immigrant visa in passport so which details do I enter for check in? My GC will get generated when I pass through immigration control. I will hand over my big brown envelope etc tomorrow. Bit confused about what to enter for check in though. Any ideas?

You have an Immigrant Visa not a Green Card.

Yes, as @Boiler said you're selecting the wrong thing from the drop down menu on the BA API - you need to select visa, not green card as you're not a LPR or green card holder until you enter the US. Then you enter the details from the visa there, and you'll need to get it checked at the airport by check in staff too.

Good luck!

Which 7 or 8 digit number do I enter from visa? Do you know?

It'll be your A number I would think. I don't recall unfortunately. But if you're not sure then just check in at the airport rather than online, then it'll all be done by the check in staff.

Good luck.

@KVVO It was very smooth when I entered the DFW border, the officer took my passport and sealed envelop and did everything, then returned the passport. I don't have to do anything. I received SSN via mail after 8 days and the Greencard is printed after 3 weeks, and was delivered a week after.

The Green card number is the Registration Number on your Visa, right under your IV Case Number.

Welcome to America!

Hi all, seems to be the right place to ask this question, I have been approved for an EB1A, and have been DQd since April 23rd, I have conducted an effortless amount of research and cant seem to find a difinitive answer, but how long after DQ have you other EB1 applicants received IL? and roughly how long has the interview date been post IL?

Ive used the IV scheduling status tool (IV Scheduling Status Tool) that was recommended on another post, and its currently suggesting that for EB visas, London are currently issuing ILs for those DQd in Feb 25; my assumption on this basis is that it could still be another 2 months before we receive an IL given my DQ date in April 25, then 2-3 months for the actual interview thereafter? Is this a fair assumption or is it typically quicker than this?

I was DQ's 22nd Nov and my interview was 5th March. So around 3 months.

Thank you for the response, and that was obviously including the Christmas break which would have lost a week maybe two? I know its impossible to predict but 3 months would still see my interview being July time with DQ in April!

Time will tell im sure, will ensure to keep my timeline updated as and when!

3 months is probably about right, maybe 4 months. London is one of the quickest consulates luckily.
