Did you try getting a visa to Hungary? I'm reading now that they will check to make sure you haven't cancelled your hotel bookings.

Spain accepted us but only single-entry. We were also considering Greece and Italy but decided on Spain because of processing times.

No, not yet. We are waiting on an interview date. Could you direct message me the link where you've read this? I'd really appreciate it.

I can send you a link in a private message. The topic is dicussed on Forum Vinskogo but my wife also read the same thing on a Telegram channel. I'll ask her for the link. Not sure how many countries are checking hotel bookings. Greece sent my wife an email notice of the visa being cancelled the very day we were supposed to arrive in Athens.

It's been a couple months, how about now? We had a delay going to NVC thanks to a clerical error on the USCIS's part, but hopefully not too much longer until we have a date and she's applying for a visa. 

 

The Forum Vinskogo suggestion is interesting, as that's actually where I saw people suggestion Hungary back in October. It seemed to make sense, which is why I was wondering if there's something the folks here knew as to why Greece/Italy would be preferable to Hungary.
