You must believe in utopia.

When the rest of the would stops abusing workers... lets talk.

The US did at one time too, we got past that. Other countries can to.

Apologies if mentioned already, but you clearly don't 'care' about illegals as human beings..or 'abused workers'.....clearly, your interest is in keeping the status quo so that their exploited & cheap labor continue so that your job remains secure.

Do you wear a cup while you straddle that fence?

Lisa, I love your style! Damn, I wish I could articulate my thoughts like you do.

LisaD, I hope that comment wasn't targeted toward me ... if so ...

So it's okay for the US to accept all the worlds abused workers? Just let them come here illegally and work as part of a "work asylum" program? At my/ your expense.

The US struggled to make the changes years ago, these same changes also needs to happen in other countries and those changes can and should be made from within the country(s). Unless you are advocating we get involved in another countries internal politics ... even more than we already are.

Do I care about workers in other countries ... yes I do. Only I don't think the US can continue to "fix" another country's problems.

No, it was directed at D&G....throughout the thread, he's been saying how without the illegals, the US job mkt & economy is gonna crash...this that and the other....and now he's talking about stopping abused workers all around the world.

What he fails to realize is that his argument....the reliance on the illegal workers in America...is actually based in the abuse and exploitation that he is preaching for the world to stop.

He's actually just admitted that he is part of his own problem.
