Plus, when it comes to presidential elections, people don't vote strictly along party lines. Most Americans are 'middle-of-the-road' in terms of political ideology. When you look at poll numbers on the issues, it demonstrates Americans are far more multi-dimensional than any 2 party system or ideological polarities want us to believe.

...which is why some political strategists focus on divisive issues such as abortion or gay marriage in order to draw a heavy line in the sand.

Ok I skimmed through all 9 pages and I'm still amazed that it made it this far.

As for the people who live in flyover country, well... it might as well be a different country. That's just the truth. Not saying it's good or bad, just completely alien. And attractive enough (to me) that I may even move there one day. Good thing it's not really another country, I wouldn't want to have to get a police certificate.
