I was looking at the info about the medical and where my husband needs to go.

How much in advance should he go for medical? My sister in law is here with me now, & thinks he should go around the 14th of July. Which that is like 1 & 1/2 weeks before he would go for interview. What do others think?

So does anyone know if that would be fine or what? Also, what do they do >>>vaccanations, physical, chest x-ray.....whatelse?

Also, I will be sending him our whole petition packet from start to finish.........pics.........bills in both our names......letters, emails and cards ........any other suggestions?

I just want my husband to be prepared for his interview and have everything he needs right there in front of him. So if an officer ask for something, Qasim can go right to the paper or pic that they are asking for.

Thanks

My wife's medical will be in Lahore, I called on 6/3 and they gave me an appointment for 6/17 so he should make the appointment soon. They also said that they will take 1 week to prepare the report. He may have to pick it up in person or have have it sent through TCS or some other courier service.

He should call the clinic where he wants to go and get an appointment, who knows how many they have scheduled already. They will tell him what he should bring. My wife was told to bring interview letter, passport, copies of passport, 2 passport size pics and

any vaccination documents she has.

I don't think he needs to worry about vaccination records if he doesn't have any, they just charge extra and do the vaccination at that time. My wife doesn't have any records of vaccination as it is the case for most people in Pak. Total cost is probably about Rs. 10,000.

I sent my wife the interview letter, copy of DS-230 and AOS docs. I didn't send her cards or I-130 papers etc.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

My parents have the same interview date as yours' -- July 31st. However, they haven't received anything in mail yet. I received papers from NVC letting me know of their interview date and what else will be required the day of the interview.

Is this normal these days? From what I remember those mails used to go to the applicant of the visa not the sponsor.

Thanks and good luck!

Yes, this is the new process; They will also receive a copy though it usually takes longer to for the international mail to arrive. I suggest you send them a scanned/fax copy of the letter and let them initiate the remaining process e.g. medical examination appointment etc...

Have you tried talking to an operator? Their automated messages are only updated on Monday and Sat I believe so they may have processed your paperwork already.

Salam Pakmani,

I have quick question for you when you mailed DS-230 what supporting documents you mailed to NVC along with DS-230?

and when you pay IV fee online do you get checklist of items you need to mail with DS-230?

Please let me know as I need to do all this for brother in law Thanks

2-4 weeks. If your RFE needs supervisor review, it'll take 3 weeks easy. If missing docs, subtract 1 week.
