Oh well...it is what it is. Now I hope her interview goes smooth next month Insha'Allah.

Rainbow, since you don't have any timeline in your signature, can I please ask you how long it took NVC to forward the case to the embassy and once the embassy received it, how long it took for them to send the first packet.

I am trying to get a rough estimate of when my wife's interview will be. Today when I called the NVC, they said that they have received the case from the USCIS. The lady on the phone told me that it takes 4 weeks for them to forward it to the embassy. Based on my timeline, do you think my wife should get an interview date for March or April?

Sallam Tareq,

From my conversation with the Officer at ISL, I find it extremely difficult if not impossible to get an interview date for March but I think you have a higher chance in April and May. According to the officer all Jan & Feb interviews are fulfilled and are now booking March.

My timeline is accurate and up-to-date. We sent our Packet 3.5 back to the Embassy and they received it Dec. 14 and we still have not received an interview date yet! and when we do, I'm thinking its goin to be sometime in mid-to-late march.

Best of luck to you and the rest of us!

salaam......

I am not to the embassy stage yet, but I do check it out through email to see what is goin on. We got an RFE in Dec, so my husband in Pakistan has been working to get the paperwork that we need. He did get it completed and should be sending it to me first thing monday morning ......Insha Allaah!!!! So, I hope to have our approval by either the end of Jan or beginning of Feb....Insha Allaah.

I was wondering......how quick can your case go, once it gets to NVC? I mean with the paperwork and stuff that they send to you? When do you think that my husband should start getting his police report done as well? I guess, he should wait till after we are approved and we start the paperwork for NVC? just curious.

I wish everyone well and Insha Allaah you will have your loved ones home and soon.....:)

Aisha

Salam all,

My wife had her interview on July 3rd, 2007 for her immigrant visa (CR-1). She is currently in Lahore, Pakistan, and myself in California. I have contacted the Dept of State numerous times only to get the same response, "Your wife's case is still under administrative processing." It has now been 6 months and we are still waiting patiently.

The reason for my post is to find out if anyone else had a similar interview around the same time in Islamabad. If so, please let me know how your case is progressing. I have been searching but unfortunatly haven't been able to find any VJ members posting their results if their interview was in the month of July. I have seen cases in May and now in August having their Administrative processes completed. I pray for you all to be reunited with your spouses. Thank you

My husband's interview was on aug 28th, 2007 I recently called DOS on jan 5 2007 and finally they told me that my husband's security check was completed. I am still waiting for the final answer from the ISB \. My husband's interview was for K-3.

Salam All,

My kids packet 3.5 arrived on Jan 9th. Case Left NVC to ISB 12/5/07. Embassy sent 2 packets for each kid, one dated 12/18/07 and other 1/07/08. Four packets delivered by TCS guy and cost us Rs 200 each ( Rs 800 in total )

Good new ISB Finally replied back to my numerous emails, and they have consolidated my kids cases with my wife's case.

All three of them will be interviewd on Jan 25th.

My wife is going ISB for medical this week. Masood hospital is Lahore is closed for being involved in "not so legal activities" by court order and US embassy terminated their contract. No new hospital has been contracted in Lahore yet. Stupid Greedy owners of Masood Hospital :angry::angry:

Hey Jaxguy!!!

Congrats on receiving the packets and the soon interview date I saw on your timeline. I noticed your original interview date was April 08,2008. I was curious if they automatically gave you the earlier interview date or you had requested it?

TODAY I received an interview date of MARCH 25, 2008!!!

The reason I ask: MY fiancee's mom leaves Lahore for the US on March 1 and we were hoping my fiancee could come with her so she wouldn't have to come alone.

Thanks!

Salam Everyone,

My wife's interview is in ISL on Feb. 8th and would like recommendations for hotels. I checked prices for P.C. & Marriott which seems to be really high.

I also search for guest houses but they don't seem to have any pics on the net.

Any help would be appreciated.
