Thanks Hp81 and Scarlethawk

Khurram hang in there and I do not know of a timeline.

Everything I respond to is from personal knowledge, research or experience and I am in no means a lawyer or do I claim to be one. Everyone should read, research and be responsible for your own journey.

I suggest you write to the U.S.Ambassadorin ISB, may be this will help, since your case is now in ISB?

Thanks Mary and Hp81. Do you know the email address of the Ambassador? or should I send snail mail?

Hang in there man.

I was there at the embassy, and it was a mad house, especially with the number of people who were there for non immigrant visas. The embassy is simply overwhelmed by the number of folks showing up each day just for visit visas. I would estimate there must have been 300-400 folks just for visit visas.

Hi fellow VJ'rs. Have been following this thread for a long time. A few questions for the resident experts here.

First a brief case status. I applied through a lawyer for my wife both I-130 and K3. The I-130 processing was completed and interview date received for April 8th 2008.

A month ago post I-130 approval the K3 was approved, procssed at NVC and now she received a packet from the embassy for an interview date of January 8th 2008 requesting the same original documents that we have already sent them for the I-130.

Considering i kept emailing them when the I-130 was being processed for an early interview date, they never did that stating heavy workload and now the K3 is scheduled for an earlier date - not complaining but what a mess.

Questions i have are:

1. Is there a possibility of them do the I-130 interview on the date they have scheduled the K3?

2. All original documents were sent with the I-130, if she goes to the K3 interview what to expect?

3. What other options are available.

Apologies if the questions are redundant, your responses are appreciated.

Regards

Isn't it you don't receive the DS-157 in packet three when your beneficiaries is a female. Khurram did your wife receive the DS-157 in the packet 3? Also, the form 1-134 what did you send as the support documents? Pick form the list or add/delete. If there is no packet 4, just wondering why you have the date in front of packet 4 in your timeline.

1-Offer letter from employer

2-Pay stub

3-Income tax return - Is this needed? if yes how many years?

4-Bank statement

Thank you,

Thank you,

She received DS-157 but didn't have to fill it out as it stated in the instructions that came with the forms that "this form is not required for female applicants"

This is what I sent for I-134:

1. Affidavit Of Support (I-134)

2. Bank Letter with Bank Statements( Monthly summaries)

3. Job Letter

4. Tax Transcripts -2004-2005-2006

5. 401k Statement

6. Bank Statement (Monthly detail)

7. Copy of Tax returns -2004-2005-2006

8. Pay stubs for the last 3 months

I have Packet 4 listed in my timeline but no packet 3 as there is only one packet sent by the Embassy for K3 and you can choose to call it packet 3 or 4 as the time line on this website didn't have an option for just a K3 packet.

Khurram
