Do I have to sign AOS?

My wife's petition to bring my mother in law was just approved, we are waiting for the NVC to process the visa. 

We always file our taxes as married filing jointly. My question: for the affidavit of support, Do I have to sign it also?

My wife makes more than enough money on her own to surpass the threshold indicated on the poverty guidelines and can be backed with her W-2's and check stubs

Can she be the sole sponsor even though we filed our taxes jointly?

I believe that if you file taxes jointly, you would do an I-864A as household member.  Your wife is the primary sponsor.
