Hi all, new to this website and unfortunatly wish I found this site before filing. Already got my NOA1 back and things seemd to be going smooth. The length of this process is frustrating. I wanted to make sure all my T's were crossed and I's were dotted so my fiance and I while visiting here in the states hired an attorney to help. Just seemed easier to do at the time and wanted to make sure we didn't miss anything. Our attorney gave us a choice of Consulates (Davao and Manila) Just so happens Davao is much easier to travel to for my fiance and that's what we chose. Now that I've been researching I find out the Davao probably doesn't do interviews. If I try to contact USCIS I might delay the paperwork on an already long process. Does anyone know if they will just automatically send the paperwork to Manila or will it just get set aside. Anyone else run into this problem? I sent an email to Davao but have not gotten a reply. Hopefully someone can reassure me that things will be ok and the correction will be made.

Thanks

NVC will send the paperwork to the appropriate consulate or embassy. most countries have only 1 consulate designated to handle immigration visas, and this includes the K-visas.

Wait until NOA2, and then contact NVC or DOS and confirm that the case is being sent to Manila.

DOS: 202.663.1225 Then press 1, then press 5, then press 0

My soon to be wife, lives in Davao City. It is our understanding that while there is a website for a consulate in Davao, there is no physical office to handle paperwork and interviews. I hope someone comes on here after me and tells us both otherwise, but at this time I am not confident. A trip to Manila will have to be planned otherwise.

The consulate in davao is a virtual one. The following is taken from a chat archive on Fiance Visa Process.

User Asked: Bing - can I do my interview in Davao?

CONSUL: No all interviews must be done in the Embassy in Manila
