need help with anyone with the same situation as mine to help out. I applied for drivers license last month at the Ohio BMV and completed everything required of me but since my i94 is expired , the bmv issued me a sheet stating my application is pending further verification by the dhs save program in other to verify my lawful status in the US. its almost a month now since I applied for the license and my case status is still not verified. I called the bmv and they instructed me to contact the dhs, I called dhs and they also instructed me to contact uscis , I contacted uscis and they also instructed me to reach out to the Ohio BMV because It is the responsibility of the agency to follow the SAVE verification process and determine my eligibility for the benefit. during my  drivers license application I submitted every docs I had to prove my legal status including my pending ead and green card. my ead arrived and  my save status is still under review. I'm so confused about this whole thing and the merry go round I'm going through

I’m looking for information on why this happens too. My husband came on an IR1 visa which gives immediate work authorization and lawful permanent residency.

His social security card was delayed in the mail, so we went to the local SSA office to reapply as they advised and were given the same form you were given at the DMV. They told us it could take up to four weeks but that most cases cleared in SAVE after 2 weeks. Ours took NINE weeks and had to go through “Tier 3” verification.

Today (after finally having ssn on hand) we went to the DMV to get a license. And of course, they also have to do a SAVE verification to give him a license and they’ll call us in 30 days.

It’s also been almost 4 months since he arrived and we still haven’t received his physical greencard which they said should take 90 days (I know everything is delayed, but still).
