It seems the yellow-shirted pro-democracy protesters may succeed in overthrowing their second elected government. Hooray for Thai democracy.

Agreed on the baht -- at least that's good.

Here's hoping for no further disruption in travel.

That would be great if it got to 50 bhat to a dollar, GO PAD! Anyhow if you have 50 or 100 dollar bills the rate is 34.75 to the dollar.

I'm looking for anyone out there where there Visa was not denied by an embassy but instead put on administrative review. Not with the NVC but with the embassy itself. My Fiance interviewed on August 27th and they gave her a paper that said Administrative Review. They would be in touch. Anyone else out there in the same boat?

The message board is confusing. While i was thinking I was adding a new topic to the Sawasdee board I instead was creating a new topic. On another note, I notice your fiance received her Visa in July. What happened after that?

I agree, it can definitely be confusing. After awhile you get used to it though. Glad you were able to post it here, as i think you'll get a lot better help as this thread is specifically for Thailand visas, and some people on here have either been through AP or are going through it, so just give them some time to respond.

Yes, she received her visa and is actually coming to the states in 12 days, so I'm pumped about that.

Once again, sorry to hear that happened to you guys. Any idea on why it was?

Hello Everyone

Working on Packet 3.....How did you assemble Packet 3? Like the I-129F? Cover letter and 2 holes at the top

using one of those fastener things?

I am preparing to send it to my honey in England so she can send it as soon as she returns to Thailand.

Thanks for the help!

Hello

Another follow up question...trying to cover everything...

The DS-156 is not sent in with the check list but carried in for the interview???

2 passport type photos.... how did you attach them?

Place them in a baggie like the I129F ? (I just thought of that)

Anyway thanks again

Good night all

Frankly, I don't think it matters all that much how it is assembled. They probably appreciate receiving it in an orderly manner. A cover letter isn't required, unless there is something you specifically want them to know. Remember the paperwork reduction act? This process nullifies it! The DS 156 is hand carried to the interview.

Good luck!

Thanks Thai Mom

I hope all is well with your family.

The package is on its way to England. I believe we have everything in order.

She returns to Thailand on 14 Sept and she will mail packet 3 asap.

She still needs that police certificate and medical but she will do that as soon as she returns.

It sounds like the police are slowing down so should she mail packet 3 in or wait a few days

Any opinions on this.

Thanks for your help

I wouldn't wait to mail packet three. I believe they're still scheduling the interviews 2 1/2 - 3 months out, so there should be plenty of time to get the police report. I can't imagine them being that slow. If she doesn't have it for the interview, they'll just request that she bring it in when she gets it, and it will delay the visa a bit. My kids opted to have them hold it until they picked it up in person the day before the interview. I would like to defend the police in Thailand a bit. One young one went way beyond the call of duty to make our visit to Thailand more pleasant.

As long as she keeps her Thai Passport valid, Thailand won't know she became a US Citizen, and the US doesn't try to take someones previous passport away. When going into Thailand, she would enter using her Thai passport, when coming back to the US, she would enter using her US passport.
